Jesus
the one to whom my soul loves
name above all names
the King of kings and lord of lords
He is the irrefutable truth.
What Jesus did for me on Calvary’s Hill is something that I can never pay back. Something that means EVERYTHING to me. This truth is transforming. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the truth that governs my every day, my every move. At least, it is my aim to live by the standards set in the 12th chapter of Mark: to love the Lord my God with all my heart, all my soul and all my mind and to love my neighbor as myself.
My God gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in Him will not die, but have everlasting life. This is salvation. An escape from my sin, to be cleansed from destruction and darkness.
The whole point of the Gospel is for us to be RECONNECTED WITH GOD. Sin separated us from Him, because He is perfect and we chose – no, choose – to cover ourselves in sin and immorality. The Gospel RECONCILES us to our God. 2 Corinthians 5:20 “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
Beautiful
Irrefutable
Truth
If you, or anyone you know, wants to talk about this Truth, please don’t stay silent. The 3rd chapter of 1 Peter says we are to be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks the reason for our hope. I don’t have it all figured out, but I do know He loves me and sent His son to die for me. And I do know it matters. Click below and send me an email. Let’s talk about it.
